A blessing in disguise

She is calm ,composed but I am the one who is chirpy and impulsive . She is very independent minded and likes to have her own space and I am the one who needs to be around with family  all the time.

She hates writing and I just love it. She is the one who loves adventure sports but I just love to watch it on the small screen .

But we both love to travel new places , try new cuisine , watch movies and read a wide array of books.

We are so much different yet so alike in many ways . She happens to my best friend and my little sister . Missing her now as she is away working in Montreal . LOVE YOU , Neha Kishore …

The Prisoner’s tale

In the darkest cells

They are kept away

Entrapped and captured

Their spirit wounded

They long for their families

And for the warmth of their homes

The touch of their loved ones

And home cooked food

Their pain is inconsolable

Their dreams chained

The heart is bleeding

And the cries gagged.

They whine in solitude

For the clear skies and blue moon

The birds that sing the most sweet songs

Are the one  soaring high in the sky

PS : A thought passed into my mind that how we enjoy freedom , a privilege to do what we want  and roam without any hindrance. But the prisoners , guilty or guiltless , kept and trapped in those darkest cells are subjected to an enormous pain and atrocities. This poem empathizes with those unprivileged people.
